Public bug reported:

Since I have upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04, my notebook freezes in every few
days. If something is playing in a music player, that hangs also (as if
the needle was jumping back continuously on an LP disk. When switching
to fglrx, this problem does not show up (although I have not used fglrx
long enough to be sure about this).
