Steve: yes, though the backported fix is a workaround, 3.5-rc1 has it implemented in another way. Besides, you don't have ivybridge, so it's something else then. Please file a new bug (ubuntu-bug xorg). You can also try disabling rc6 by adding 'i915.i915_enable_rc6=0' kernel boot option, 'pureblood' reported that helped it for him. But follow up on a new bug please, feel free to assign it to me.
Leslie: I'm confused, so you still get a lockup with my kernel (-90)? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/999910 Title: [IVB]12.04 64 bit System freezes (mouse, keyboard) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/999910/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
