I can confirm that your patch works. Not sure if I have that STAC92XX
chip or not. But, not only does the "bongo" play, I'm also getting full
sound in GNOME as well. I'll go ahead and close this bug as a duplicate
of bug #1013183. I can't wait to see the patch come down... don't like
running behind-the-curve kernels ;)
