Well... The point is there's no home network. That USB stick modem connects me directly to the Internet, if I get this right. And since I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 now and the problem remained I filed another bug report which is: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/987889 ...and you have already been there. We might carry on in that thread. Only I'm not really advanced in terms of outputs and would be thankful to get a link on a howto or something... Thank you so much for your help, Vlad.
