I've tried recreating this bug with Precise/12.04 and was unable to,
given the information you've provided (I have a Realtek ALC892 on a
Biostar motherboard). Please upgrade to the latest version and re-test.
If the bug is still reproducible, change the bug to 'Confirmed' status.
