Thank you for reporting this and helping to make Ubuntu better. I
attempted to reproduce this tonight using 12.10 (unity-greeter
12.10.0-0ubuntu1) and was unsuccessful. I made a few fake sessions by
copying the ubuntu session and changing the name. I had the sessions
Fred, Bob, Unity, and Unity-2d. I selected "Fred", logged-in, logged-
out, saw Fred was still selected. Then I entered a bad password, Fred
was still selected. I repeated this with "Bob" and Unity-2d. Is this
still happening for you?
