I think the "ubuntu mode" of live-build should work regardless if the "official" process needs it or not. Otherwise it should better be dropped altogether. "Half working" shouldn't be acceptable. If the maintainers of the package don't care / want this then Serge you could take a look at this:
https://github.com/squibbylinux/live-build.squibby It is our (very light, just 2-3 small patches) "fork" of live-build that has been tested to build at least kubuntu precise derivatives. (Just look at the commit history to find the solutions to your problems). Unfortunately for the other problems you also faced (lack of live-config etc) the solutions are kind of "quick hacks", not really suitable for merging, due to lack of time. I hope it will help in any case. ** Changed in: live-build (Ubuntu) Assignee: Pantelis Koukousoulas (pktoss) => (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/975861 Title: E: Unable to locate package console-common To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/live-build/+bug/975861/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
