Why don't you run ibus-daemon as a daemon?
You can use -d or --daemonize option to do so.
You may use -h or --help option to query available options.

The steps you provided are not the supposed way of using IBus.

If your ibus-daemon doesn't start up automatically in your X session, please
issue:
im-switch -s ibus

If the above command doesn't work, feel free to reply.
