Public bug reported:
Firefox 13.0.1 loses
(1) its banner containing {fox icon, round ball, text header for page, lower to
task bar ball, reduce size of window ball, and quit ball}. This header bar
disappears, and
(2) the keyboard does not respond; it seems to be locked.
(3) The Kubuntu task bar at the bottom of the desktop window also disappears.
This happens when Gmail is loaded from the Google menu, at the point that the
Gmail user signs in to Gmail, i.e. when the Gmail "SIGN ON" button is clicked.
I am using 32-bit Kubuntu 12.04 LTS with initrd.img-3.2.0-26-generic-pae with
wonky Firefox.
sudo apt-cache policy firefox ===>
firefox:
Installed: 13.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1
Candidate: 13.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1
Version table:
*** 13.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 0

Packages

11.0+build1-0ubuntu4 0

BUT IT WORKS THROUGH SSH -X ...
Same banner shows up, task bar is unaffected, keyboard works when
running "ssh -X ..." from another 64-bit machine to wonky machine and
run Firefox remotely and everything is normal. Both machines were
installed from same Kubuntu 12.04 LTS CD and then fully upgraded.
Firefox 13.0.1 that behaves 100% normally on 64-bit machine where
everything WORKS has initrd.img-3.2.0-25-generic, NOT 26.
