In my laptop i have 2 entries under /sys/class/backlight
* acpi_video0
* toshiba
if if echo to acpi_video0 the brightness works, if i do to toshiba it
does nothing.
Gnome seems to only pick toshiba and there is no way to tell it to use
acpi_video0 instead.
BTW i have a toshiba laptop so i assume the toshiba entry is correct.
