As far as I can tell there are only 2 packages in the Ubuntu archive
that have 'linux-firmware' in their name:

linux-firmware - Firmware for Linux kernel drivers
linux-firmware-nonfree - Non-free firmware for Linux kernel drivers

Have you installed a package from some other archive ?
