I just tried to reproduce this. In my case the interface was not downupped and the new settings were not applied when I edited the live connection. To get the new settings applied I had manually to dis-and- re-enable the interface.
But the important thing is that it still takes a downup to activate new settings. It's a legitimate request (that new settings be applied with downupping) but it's difficult to implement and I wouldn't expect it to be implemented soon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/979372 Title: When changing from "DHCP" to "DHCP (addresses only)" please reconfigure the interface without an unnecessary downup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/979372/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
