I've just tried kernel v3.5-rc6-quantal on 12.04, and still the computer
(Asus Zenbook UX31A) hangs for about 60 seconds at the login screen.

This only happens when I start the computer on battery.

If I start it connected to the mains, it does not hang at the login
screen.
