On Ubuntu 12.04 with usb_modeswitch1.2.3+repack0-1ubuntu2 and usb-
modeswitch-data 20120529-1 (manual upgrade from 20120120-0ubuntu1):

When connected to USB port, Huawei E1750 is recognised as E1552/E1800;
Network manager is not able to use it for connection.
