Hmm. Not sure what was going on there. It's one of the bigger
backgrounds, and if you were tracking the PPA, its's in a separate
package and isn't a hard dependency, which potentially could leave it
half-written when you tried to launch MyPaint...
Either way, I guess it's OK to close this one as "Invalid: the report
describes the software's normal behaviour, or is unsuitable for any
other reason." since it went away after a reboot. Thanks for the report!
