I was able to complete today's Update July 10, 2012 using the terminal.
This update included the kernel update to 3.5.0-4.
I believe the source of the problem is with " Software Updater" ,
however. I have reported bugs for the software updater and it did seem
recently to be more stable. Please Note: As of now, Software Updater
, is completely un-responsive on my system. I can click on the gui's
launcher and nothing at all by all appearances happens. If you need me
to file a separate bug report I shall do so, but , please understand, I
am not finding any log which I can attach. If you can direct me to such
a log's location I would be happy to assist in any way I am able to so
do.
