I am having hp-laserjer 1020. I haveng the same problem. Every time on
reboot hplip would ask for plugin. I cannot download the plugin from
MITedu or openprinter sources perhaps due to firewall. Setup is done
from plugin location in the computer. then I can print. On every reboot
of the printer I have to go through this process. Printing through
localhost is no probelm. Ubuntu 12.04
