Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Releases on which hwtest was
included (Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10) are EOL, and hwtest has been superseded
by checkbox, on which this behavior no longer occurs (it uses a
completely different GUI frontend now).
Based on this, I'll mark this bug invalid. Thanks!
