Same problem here with a Vaio TT, Intel 5100, iwlwifi driver on Ubuntu 12.04 with all packages up-to-date. Unable to reconnect after suspend. In addition the network that was used before suspend disapear from the list of visible access points in NetworkManager panel widget (networks from neighbors remain visible).
