Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: penguintv

After updating to penguintv 3.0-0ubuntu1 it now crashes when loading every time.
The console shows:

$ PenguinTV
***MEMORY-WARNING***: PenguinTV[28734]: GSlice: g_thread_init() must be called
before all other GLib functions; memory corruption due to late invocation of
g_thread_init() has been detected; this program is likely to crash, leak or
unexpectedly abort soon...
gecko proxy settings up to date
initializing mozilla in /usr/lib/firefox
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
$

When loaded the gui flashes up but quickly disappears before even fully
displaying.
This still occurs even if I remove the ~/.penguintv directory.
I tried running with G_SLICE=always-malloc but it made no difference.

** Affects: penguintv (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
