Hi Juan Pablo, thanks for picking this up. I found a solution to my problem:
1) My arts was not working at all. I had to remove ~/.asound* and restart arts to get it to work (see http://www.kde-forum.org/artikel/13487/3/kde-sound-system-not-working-i-have-sound-and-it-d.html) 2) Then set amarok to use arts 3) then set firefox to use artsdsp (in /etc/firefox/firefoxrc --> wooops, I get sound in amarok & firefox and ff doesn't crash on closing video-tabs. Hope this helps others. The "bug" can be closed.
