The latest version of gstreamer 'bad' plugins contains the VCD plugin ported form gstreamer 0.8. This will be mostly included in Gutsy. So this VCD problem will settle once for all. Check http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/releases/gst-plugins-bad/0.10.5.html
