I believe Konqueror already does this. I think we view Natilus as a pure
file browser though, not a web browser. You might want to suggest this
upstream at Gnome.

It is convenient that after pressing Ctrl_L and typing an URL in the nautilus,
nautilus will open firefox to browse the URL.
