First screenshot:
1. GTK theme on some indicators is off.
2. Window decorations not themed correctly (cf font, title positioning, new
button on right hand corner)
3. Unity launcher does not display icons.

4. Switcher does not display icons.
[I also suffer other visual oddities, including the screen being off
during boot, and only turning on when X starts, but I suspect that's a
separate bug. I do not know if it is a kernel bug, or a plymouth bug,
and would like some guidance, so I am posting here.]
