Hi wayward4now, thanks for reporting back. Actually, the 'software-
center-gtk3' script has been depracated since Oneiric, and so should not
be used. Please run it as simply:
$ software-center
And please attach the output here. Thank you for your help and for your
patience!

That DANG @#$$#%$^ CAPTCHA rolling wreck piece of garbage that I can
hardly read, causes the appstore to wink out of existance. I really
really really LOATHE "captcha" anyway, now it blows up trying to
actually BUY a stupid game.
