Public bug reported: This is on a friends pc that I won't have access to. Older nvidia chipset but running nouveau drivers since nvidia-96 drivers are broken in 12.04. Cheese crashes on startup with the following:
$ cheese (cheese:2927): Gdk-WARNING **: The program 'cheese' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'GLXBadContext'. (Details: serial 155 error_code 168 request_code 153 minor_code 6) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) dmesg: [ 1787.920170] [drm] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: illegal object class: 0x99 [ 1787.920181] [drm] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: Error creating object: -22 (2/0xbeef0001) [ 1787.967337] [drm] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: illegal object class: 0x99 [ 1787.967350] [drm] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: Error creating object: -22 (2/0xbeef0001) ** Affects: cheese (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1027310 Title: cheese crash with nouveau drivers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cheese/+bug/1027310/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
