Bryan: When I open an existing document in OOWriter, such as a manuscript, a work I have previously corrected and told the spell checker to save in its database is still there, underlined in red. I right click and tell it to save it in the corrected words drop down list or can simply right click on the red underlined word and it goes away. Hope this helps.
