I checked the solution from Schmirrwurst, the problem of no sound capture persists even after "mic boos" has been unmuted. On another observed phenomenon:I have noticed that the "capture" falls back from any high value to 1.5dB upon a sound capture process. For ex: I tested with Skype Test Call and everything is fine till the moment the recording begins upon which the capture falls back to 1.5dB. It goes back to whatever value it was originally once the recording time has elapsed. Is this normal? I still have the problem of the shivering volume control with a tooltip saying "Microphone 100%".
