For what it is worth, I am also experiencing this bug. I'm running a dual six core xeon with hyperthreading (2x 6x 2 = 24 effective cores). Under the "Resources" tab all 24 cores are actively monitored however the "System" tab only shows 19 cores.
Ubuntu Release 12.04 (precise) 64-bit Kernel Linux 3.2.0.27-generic GNOME 3.4.1 Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5645 @ 2.4GHz x 19 Attached is my cpuinfo, which shows all effective 24 cores (Processors 0 - 23) All cores are available to programs and the only downside appears to the the number of cores displayed in System Monitor "System" tab. ** Attachment added: "cpuinfo" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/1003836/+attachment/3233586/+files/cpuinfo -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1003836 Title: System Monitor shows only 19 Cores To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/1003836/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
