Public bug reported:

After today's kernel upgrade to 3.2.0-27-generic-pae, my CIFS shares
won't mount. It still works with kernel 3.2.0-26-generic-pae.

Symptoms:
* command-line mount such as "sudo mount -t cifs //server1/TestData
/mnt/server/TestData -o
username=peterd,password=<mypassword>,uid=peterd,rw,_netdev" is stuck
* dmesg shows CIFS mount errors

Workaround: revert to older kernel.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
