I have installed the quantal kernel on my notebook running precise-lts.
The latest version of said kernel (3.5.0-5) fails to wake up from
suspend. Previous versions of 3.5.0 (e.g. -2 and -3) don't have this
problem. I haven't observed any other problems with the quantal kernels.
