Public bug reported:

Running the 'Check disk for defects' fails with 'The ./install/netboot
/ubuntu-installer/i386/pxelinux.cfg/default file failed the MD5 checksum
verification. Your CD-ROM or this file may have been corrupted.' error
message.

Constantly reproducible, on quantal-server-i386 downloaded from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/daily/20120724.5/quantal-server-i386.iso
 which is seemingly identical to
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/daily/20120725.4/quantal-server-i386.iso

The installation media was created on a USB using Startup Disk Creator.
