Public bug reported: Hi, I read on Ubuntu Forums that someone uninstalled the fglrx AMD driver using apt & could not get to the login screen (didn't load).
The best way is using AMD's own uninstaller: sudo /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh Uninstalling by apt should restore to the standard driver properly, which in this case didn't happen.
