SRU verification for Precise: I have reproduced the problem with ubuntu-defaults-zh-cn 0.8 in precise and have verified that the version of ubuntu-defaults-zh-cn 0.8.2 in -proposed fixes the issue.
With 0.8.2 the start page shows google search page in chinese.
