I have an LIDE 60 running on 10.04, and most times is will not scan and
gives this error message. Sometimes it will work if you try it a few
times. Seems be quite random. Interestingly it will always work after
being initialized by windows (VMware). IE Do a scan in windows, and then
remove from windows ("unplug" USB from client OS), and then it will scan
in Linux.
