The problem is NOT solved. I have upgraded the bios to 1.60 and made the adjustments as specified by Loic Martin above. No further modifications to the bios defaults. The cpu is a Sempron 2800. The uname -1 response is: Linux ... 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Thu Jun 7 20:19:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
When I go into suspend, the computer seems to go into suspend mode. The power light of the computer is flashing green. To awake, I only have to click the left (right does not work) mouse button. But the display never gets activated and remains dark; the display LEDs indicate no-VGA- signal The motherboard also has no sound under feisty, so I couldn't say if anything goes on at all. Keyboard at least responds with Numlock light going on and off when num button pressed. When hibernating the computer goes off, and can be restarted with the power button. After a few flashes of distorted Kubuntu logos, the display LEds show it is active, but dark. Moving the mouse brings up the login box, and I can login and continue where I left off. I am not exactly thrilled with feisty on this mb. -- [Feisty] suspend and hibernate fail on MB Asrock K8NF6G-VSTA https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/81137 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
