The upgrade of mysql-server failed because the partition containing
/var/lib/mysql was almost full.
In the term.log, the relevant messages are :
Selecting previously deselected package mysql-server-5.0.
(Reading database ... (Reading database ... 211341 files and directories
currently installed.) 86.deb) ...
Unpacking mysql-server-5.0 (from .../mysql-server-5.0_5.0.38-0ubuntu1_i386.deb)
...
ERROR: There's not enough space in /var/lib/mysql/
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/mysql-
server-5.0_5.0.38-0ubuntu1_i386.deb (--unpack): subprocess pre-
installation script returned error exit status 1
The "ERROR: ..." message comes from mysql init script, which checks if
there is enough space left on the partition holding /var/lib/mysql
before starting mysqld.
Thus I'm marking the bug invalid for mysql-dfsg-5.0. The upgrade failed
because /var was full.
** Changed in: mysql-dfsg-5.0 (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Invalid
