This issue is also reproducible with xserver-xorg-video-intel
2:2.19.0-4.

I just tested that and it also seems – only one try – to solve this
problem on my Eee PC 701 4G system.

Does that automatically enable SNA? Can you just try the intel-sna? In
(at least) 2.19.0 you can also enable SNA by an option to the driver (in
Debian).

    $ more /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-custom.conf
    Section "Device"
         Identifier "Device0"
         Driver "intel"
         Option "AccelMethod" "sna"
    EndSection
