Public bug reported: I am testing the 12.10 alpha 3 release:
The background color of the mail icon menu that includes your chat and other social networking apps and also the sound menu in the Unity bar appear in a different color (Light Grey). This makes the labels and other fonts illegible in the menu. Not sure if this is intended to be this way in 12.10 release of Ubuntu.
