** Description changed:

  I opened emacs 24, and double-clicked on the title bar to maximize it.
  It crashed.   Haven't been able to reproduce it every time.  One time,
  the window maximized, but the content did not.  A double-click on the
  global menu bar, and then it crashed.
  
  Chris Halse Rogers reported this as bug 1026477, but the retracer marked
  it invalid.  I'll try to keep an eye if I get the same here.  I'm just
  going to crib off of Chris' bug report, 'cause I think he has more idea
  what's going on.  He wrote:
