Also, I could not run 'ubuntu-bug' to file this bug because after using
'ppa-purge ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa' repository it left the Linux Kernel
3.5.0-7-generic intact (I assume this is a security related feature to
not allow for Kernel removals) and when I rebooted none of the built in
drivers for my Broadcom Network driver were available so I could not
connect to the internet.

Recently was interested in trying the new and exciting Nvidia 304.30
drivers. I added 'ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa' ran the update utility and then
was presented with a deluge of packages. The Update Manager installer
asked if I wanted to do partial upgrade and I said yes. The updates
installed but during the process I noticed that the Linux Kernel update
failed due to a problem making the DKMS module.
