This is as designed. For more on enabling hibernate in Precise please
see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PowerManagement/Hibernate#Hibernate_Disabled_by_Default
.

>"...so what I tested was "Suspend" which works fine."

Glad suspend works fine. However, this report is only about Hibernate. For more
on this, please see the Ubuntu Bug Control and Ubuntu Bug Squad article:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/BestPractices#X.2BAC8-Reporting.Focus_on_One_Issue

and Ubuntu Community article:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_Reporting_Etiquette

>"It appears very few people have the same problem so I guess we any way
can close the report with Status Invalid."

Well, the number of people who are or are not affected does not change
you have a bug in Natty. The issue remains if you would like it
addressed in it and later releases that may be affected, then please
provide the debug information requested in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/773081/comments/2 .
Otherwise, you are welcome to toggle the Status yourself to Invalid.
