Aug 1 22:19:17 lubuntu in-target: Some index files failed to download. They
have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
That means you were connected to the Internet while installing Lubuntu:
the installer tried to fetch a list of the most recent packages to
install all updates and failed due to network issues.
Could you please reinstall again (before you install, make sure the
virtual network card is disconnected - right click on the network card
icon, click "Network cards" and deselect the "Cable connected" checkbox)
and tell me here how it went? (You can always update Ubuntu later).
