Christopher, I can confirm that the 12.04 LiveCD hangs at "Loading bootlogo", but that the 12.10 alpha 3 amd+mac iso from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/12.10/alpha-3/ boots fine, after setting a boot option.
At the man+keyboard screen, press any key and accept English, then press F6, then move to acpi=off and press Space to select it, and Esc. Then press Return to allow the LiveCD to boot, which takes about 3 minutes. This is on an iMac 5,1, Core 2 Duo, 3Gb RAM, ATI Radeon. I haven't done an actual install yet, but the LiveCD seems to work fine, and is very responsive. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/885809 Title: Live stuck on "Loading bootlogo" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/885809/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
