I have attached a patch that fixes the problem. Turns out that XI was updated to 2.2 some time ago:
sfs@sfs-laptop:~$ xinput -version xinput version 1.5.99.1 XI version on server: 2.2 I have tested it, and it works like it should - keyboard backlight and volume up/down/mute all works again. (I'm on an Asus UX32VD that provides keycodes through asus-wmi module) ** Patch added: "allow xinput 2.2 to work" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1034090/+attachment/3252537/+files/gnome-settings-daemon-xinput2-fix.diff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1034090 Title: Hotkeys not functional after upgrade to quantal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1034090/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
