Escalated or not, this seems to be a bug that needs fixing and I believe Raymond is correct in comment #44. So I've taken the patch from the pulseaudio ticket, and built a test package. Once it has finished building in ppa:diwic/pulseaudio-testing, can you please do this:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:diwic/pulseaudio-testing sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade Now verify with "apt-cache policy pulseaudio" that version 1:1.1-0ubuntu15.2~diwicppa is installed, reboot your computer, and see if the problem is fixed.
