Can not say about Feisty, since I've decided to stay with Dapper on this machine for now. That might change someday. I will try some liveCD to see if they can suspend or hibernate the machine correctly.
Once suspended, it manages to go silent and dark perfectly. After that the only thing it responds to is pressing the power button for a few seconds (one single push does nothing), and that turns it totally off. There is still no coming back unless the battery is removed and AC adapter disconnected. Hibernation does not turn CPU fan or HD off. The display goes dark. The moon symbol at the display's base blinks (when suspended it is on all the time). The only way forward is to turn off the machine. This time it starts up again without removing the battery and AC. -- Suspend / Hibernate broken (IBM Thinkpad T21) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/52638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
