Try this:
1- Take a screenshot and save to the Images folder.
2- Open the Images folder and do not close it.
3- Modify the image (the screenshot) with an application like GIMP.
4- Look in the Images folder and see if the screenshot's thumbnail changed. If
not, you need to refresh with F5.
If you change the image rotating it with EOG (for example), the
thumbnail does change automatically.
