I have come across this bug today, on Ubuntu 12.04 up to date, and PDFmod 0.9.1.
I exported a Impress presentation from LibreOffice in PDF format, then opened it with PDFmod. As I just wanted 1 of the slides, I selected all the other ones and clicked the remove button. I was left with only the first slide of the presentation, which I had selected.
