Public bug reported: Installing 20120809 Lubuntu Quantal Desktop i386 during iso-testing. This page comes up after selecting the full drive install and ask to pick a security key. There is no choice to bypass this step so a key input, but the security key does not appear to create encrypted ubuntu data and does not require the encrypted key on a cold boot.
Don't think everyone will want an encrypted drive. Installation did complete and everything worked: exception the security key ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10 Package: ubiquity 2.11.19 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-8.8-generic 3.5.0 Uname: Linux 3.5.0-8-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.4-0ubuntu6 Architecture: i386 CasperVersion: 1.320 Date: Thu Aug 9 21:09:08 2012 InstallCmdLine: noprompt cdrom-detect/try-usb=true persistent file=/cdrom/preseed/lubuntu.seed boot=casper initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- LiveMediaBuild: Lubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Alpha i386 (20120809) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: ubiquity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 iso-testing quantal ubiquity-2.11.19 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1035167 Title: Choose a security key - page To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1035167/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
